Peak Paths offers consulting services, training and expert assistance in organizing and providing a drug-free workplace environment. As a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, he offers Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) assessments and referrals in accordance with federal regulations.

Since 1994, and until December 1998, Don Rothschild, as an independent contractor, has concentrated his work in the area of providing a drug-free workplace by forming The Compliance Alliance (div. of Crossroads Counseling, Ltd), with its mission to assist organizations, large and small, public and private, in compliance with federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations or in assistance in their voluntary creation of a drug-free workplace. Peak Paths was formed in December 1998 to provide consulting services and drug-free workplace implementation.

As a therapist, Don Rothschild provides professional counseling in the areas of employee assistance, alcohol and drug abuse, and employment adjustment and is a qualified SAP.

Mr. Rothschild was awarded Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in Geology from The University of Texas, Austin, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with Emphasis on Alcohol and Drug Counseling from Metropolitan State College, Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Rothschild serves a Board Director of Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA), an national association of organizations involved in drug and alcohol testing which sets standards of practice, provides a voice in Congress through lobbying, and serves as an information resource to members regarding court cases and changes and additions to the federal register regarding testing regulations. He is an active member of Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA) since 1988, and an active member of Substance Abuse Professional Administrators Association (SAPAA).

Mr. Rothschild currently serves as National Past-Chairman of EAPA Small Business Committee and member, EAPA Legislative & Public Policy Committee. He was awarded the Daetwiler Award for Distinguished Service in 1994 by Colorado EAPA Chapter, of which he is currently serving as President.
